 Carnivorous Plants

I'm not keen on botany in general, but I'm quite interested in Carnivorous Plants. My faves are Venus flytraps and Nepenthes lowii.

Do you guys think you need to feed them with flies and other insects if you want to bring them home, or they should be fine with sunlight and water?
